Mistake-free, hassle-free dates

Not all use-by and best before dates are created equal.

There are different product lives to deal with, but that's just the start. Some dates need to be updated daily, while others are weekly, monthly, or anything in between. On top of that, dates could also need to be rounded.

When mixed production schedules bring a number of different date requirements together, the complexity of manual expiry date settings skyrockets.

For example, one product might be manufactured and packed within 24 hours, so the expiry date would be updated every day.

On the same line, another batch of product manufactured on Monday but packed during the rest of the week must be printed with one expiry date all week. The solution is to apply the same product life, but round the date back to the last Monday.

Mistakes in these circumstances are understandable, but are also extremely costly and unnecessary. Date changes can be managed automatically by most Markem coders.

An infinite number of combinations to suit different product ranges can be stored for easy recall from the coder's database.

Operators simply select the right program from the control panel for each product and let it do the maths.
